NZVRARA

The New Zealand VR/AR Association (NZVRARA) is a non-profit incorporated society formed in 2016 to champion, support, and grow the virtual and augmented reality sector across the country. As the official New Zealand chapter of the global VRARA, it is run by a 16-strong executive committee drawn from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, and funds monthly regional events plus national activities through membership fees. NZVRARA's mission centres on promoting collaboration, education, research and development, and economic growth for the benefit of its members, welcoming everyone from individual developers to larger corporate and tertiary education members. The association has formed strategic partnerships with initiatives such as Auckland's AR/VR Garage to accelerate sector growth, functioning as the closest thing to a national industry body for XR in New Zealand.
