Mighty Eyes
Auckland
Mighty Eyes is an Auckland-based virtual reality game studio formed through the merger of two established New Zealand creative teams, M Theory and Oddboy, following their collaboration on the VR time-travel adventure game Wanderer. Wanderer partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on release and established the combined studio's reputation for narrative-driven, high-production-value VR gaming. Mighty Eyes is now developing a sequel, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, and has built VRAF, a next-generation VR framework for Unreal Engine 5 offering scalable tools and systems for VR game development. The studio's focus on entertainment and game development distinguishes it from New Zealand's many training- and enterprise-focused XR companies.
